"The room was a little dated, lovely corner bath but the jets weren’t working on it, no shower in the room which would have been handy. Lovely 4 poster bed, but the mattress was way too soft. Restaurant was lovely and the quality of the food was great. We used the spa and the gym the following day, the spa was very modern, great facilities and very clean."

"Just stayed here one night as part of a short visit to the Peak District. The hotel is right in the centre of the beautiful town of Bakewell, so extremely convenient. It’s a beautiful old coaching inn with loads of interesting history. The whole experience was excellent. Lovely room with all the facilities you need and the team in the hotel were fantastic. The views from the room was not great, one overlooked the car park, the other faced another building. However was quiet at night time. Although the hotel has a car park there are only actually 10 places, and there is a cost. We had to use the NCP carpark next door which added £30 to our weekend stay. But was nice...
