"Our stay was amazing , the Cottage was Clean Comfortable and cosy with all amenities available for our stay. Pool and the jacuzzi was excellent, I had some eye irritation so would recommend googles. Amazing weather so the walks and climbs were super enjoyabje and fun. Would definitely recomemd this cottage. Host are nice and friendly and we had some good advice on some sceneric routes and places to visit. 10/10"

"Could just cope for one night. It’s extremely dated, the heating was an old electric heater and didn’t really heat the room well, I was freezing and had to put layers on for bed because the duvet was very thin too. The room must have had a dog in previously, I had a really bad allergy reaction my eyes and nose were streaming and when I put my leggings on I had dog hairs all over them. The bathroom was nice but had a huge stain in the sink and some of the pipe boxing was falling off. The food wasn’t nice and very overpriced, I had a pie that had a very thin, greasy suet lid and the dish underneath was practically thin gravy with barely any meat at a very steep price of £19. I didn’t bother with breakfast however the continental was very well prepared with lots of options and catered well for my dairy free family members."

"We had an amazing stay at the stables, check in was easy at the pub. Our room was beautiful as described and the hot tub was an amazing addition! The bed was super comfy. We had tea in the pub, steak is definitely their specialty, absolutely delicious meals. Amazing stay overall and will definitely be back!"

"Absolutely fantastic place to stay! We booked it for a quiet family birthday weekend away, and were all absolutely delighted with it. There were seven of us, and we all fitted in comfortably - the property is very comfortable and spacious, with great outdoor areas too. It is beautifully located with stunning views all round, close to Ilam Hall and the trail to the Dovedale Stepping Stones. We were just so impressed with how well-equipped the place was - everything needed for a fantastic stay was there. Thank you for a wonderful stay in the Peak District!"

"This ‘hotel’ is still taking booking yet it is closed down and has been these last three months - avoid at all cost - we booked arrived to find it closed ended up at the Fenny Benton Hotel instead - very nice, good food, good hospitality, polite helpful staff "

"The property was comfortable and in very good decorative order. However, we were surprised to find numerous dead flies on the majority of window sills (inside) and on the carpets.There were a number of things missing from a standard inventory. For example oven gloves, salt & pepper, only 2 partially used toilet rolls, an inadequate hoover, no broom, no hair dryer and a bizarre/insufficient supply of cooking knives. It appeared that the place had not been rented for a time or not recently prepared for guests, even though the place was clean and the bedding and towels were fine.Given it was a Christmas rental, it would have been nice to have had a welcome pack and some small decorations (eg a small tree). Finally, we were unable to contact the rental office during our stay and subsequently they confirmed that the office was office was not manned over Christmas."

"Had an absolutely amazing stay in the forget me not hut . The hut was very clean and had everything you would need. Charlotte the host was lovely and very helpful with any questions we had . The location is lovely and the food in the local pub in Parwich was amazing . Overall a lovely stay and so pleased with the accommodation."
