Our elderly dog was given as warm a welcome and standard of care as were we. The cuisine is top notch - compliments to the chef - and the serving staff’s level of attentiveness well-judged. "We enjoyed our stay. Our room was comparatively small, aside from the king-sized bed - it's an old inn after all - but very comfortable and well equipped. We stayed there essentially because of the prospect of good food, and we certainly enjoyed our meal. The folk there were welcoming so it was a good experience, ."

"Well appointed hotel in a stunning location adjacent to the canal, excellent restaurant. If you do not partake in a full Scottish breakfast then the continental offerings were a little light. The room was excellent albeit a little small but suited my stay."

"Welcoming staff and lovely building. Dinner was great but the breakfast was poor and I couldn't eat it. Never seen poached so hard, mattress on the bed was pretty 'used' with a big dip in it so not the most comfortable for the money. They also charged my card for 50% of my booking 2 days before our stay without permission and the balance on the arrival day rather than 'pay at property' which was how the booking was made. I then had to chase up the invoices. "

"While I love the proximity to the airport and tram, the sidewalks were absolutely dire and crossing the roundabout to get to the tram was grim. That's not the hotel's responsibility, but it did make navigation on foot with a stroller quite challenging. The room was comfortable and spacious though, the beds were comfortable, and the provided cot was clean and premade for us upon our request."
