Lovely walk west along the historic River Tweed from Peebles leads to Neidpath Castle. This Castle is still being used as a residence. It's has a long history of seige, bankruptcy, famous visitors, starring in TV and Film and of course inevtable haunting by a young heartbroken maiden.

The room was spacious yet cozy, clean, and very well appointed. The bed was so comfortable. The staff were warm, courteous, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant was also excellent.
