"This was our first time at a TRS. Everything went smooth from check in to check out. Edward our butler was wonderful in assisting with reservations, towels, etc. After we checked in, we were asked if we wanted breakfast and a tour the next morning. We agreed as the property is very big. What we didn’t get was a tour, we received a 3.5 hour sales pitch to join their travel club. Totally like the car sales dealership that drug on and 3.5 hours later, we finally got back to our vacation after politely saying no. Casino is meh. Pool and ocean are great. Bartenders are great, however you could tell the difference of treatment being we spoke English. Food was ok. Some restaurants were better than others. Spa was worth it. CHIC Caberet a must do. However, adults only is not the case here as it connected to 3 other properties and we share restaurants. We went to the steakhouse and kids, babies every where. The breakfast buffet, kids running around and parents not caring. They say kids can’t come onto the TRS property but we literally sat on our balcony and watched parents walk their kids around our pool and area. It also appeared teenagers did our silent disco and did not have the TRS bracelets on. It was very disappointing as we’ve been to other adults only resorts and never had to worry about kids running around and having teenagers around. Although the property was beautiful, we most likely won’t return to this property."

"It was our first time at this Resort and I have to say that from landing at the airport, the taxi ride and arriving at the Resort was great. Juny was at the front desk, she was amazing and had such a great attitude, very professional and friendly; made the whole experience amazing. Our concierge Omar was amazing as well very family oriented and such a great guy, thanx Omar for your service, we appreciate you and the kids appreciate you so much. The staff at the buffet was great, I remember some of the names, like Elio, he was very nice, the guys at the pool, like Steven, he was really good, helpful and got us a nice spot at the beach. Ricardo was one of the golf carts driver/shuttle that took us around to the water park and to the beach and Fun Republic; thanx Ricardo the kids loved when you drove us around."

"The property was absolutely gorgeous, and while the hotel was not on the beach it had huge and gorgeous pools. It had all sorts of amenities for families and children. On the negative, there was still some construction and employees were working on things, such as installing lighting, roofing on walkways, landscaping, and furniture installation around the hotel. Also the walk to the beach took 15min. There was also a widespread power outage that affected Lopesan Costa Barbato and Caoba Lagoon. There was no power at the waterpark or the wave pool, none of the cascades worked, no elevator, no AC on the properties and restaurants, and certain foods were affected and not served. Both properties were with NO AC for nearly 24 hours. But! the reason that I did not give the hotel full stars in my rating was because we asked for a manager several times, and while the staff was very polite and trying to hear our complaints during the outage, no manager ever showed up. We were told he was on property…. a lot of people were outraged and hanging around the lobby for an explanation, but no manager ever came out to talk to us; we heard his name was Ivan. And now with the positive, the staff smiled a lot, they danced to entertain us. They were very polite and very helpful. The food was good and plentiful; they had something for everyone. Some of the à la carte restaurants were really good. We’re definitely thinking about visiting in the future maybe when the property has it more together."
