"Pools were awesome. It’s always nice when the pools are warm and not freezing. We spent a great time in the pools. Cleanliness was great. Pool staff were friendly and accommodating. Salome was always there to bring a drink! Very nice lady."

"This trip was one for the books! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and offered mimosas! We were then escorted to the check in office and the friendly women provided a map of the resort along with some helpful information to connect to WIFI, meal tunes, etc. They informed us that we’d board a trolley to our building and our luggage delivered to our rooms - SHOUT OUT to Felix (and all the other trolly drivers!) The resort is nice, rooms were nice and overall very clean - SHOUT OUT to our housekeeper Carmen a very humble, sweet women! There was so much to see and do on the resort that you didn’t have the desire to venture out of it! The pools are HUGE so no bumping against people. The live entertainment and crowd hype was enjoyable - SHOUT OUT to Chippy, Monarca, Happy, Lebron and the others (can’t remember there names). The pool towel women, Isabel, was a doll, the pool bartenders were down to earth and didn’t skim on making very good cocktails - SHOUT OUT to Manuel & Benvenido (aka Smiley!). Let me NOT forget my favorite Bartender though who served up the best Mojito’s (and sang some tunes!) in the main lobby lounge - SHOUT OUT to Alexander aka Mr. Sexy Black!! As for the buffet meals… the staff service phenomenal - SHOUT OUT to Alexandra, Mannaury, Yunrica & Roberto, Robinson & Daniel - food options were great and the food delicious! Mike Coffee House is a must too - SHOUT OUT to Christobal! Listen - just STOP! This is where you want to stay and ENJOY!! "

Hotel Riu Republica - Adults only - All Inclusive

"So first things first, my original room was not ideal. There was mold by the air vents, AC doesn't work too well and the walls, bedsheets and smell of the room wasn't what I hoped for. Luckily I was able to change my room to a far better one with great views. The staff was really accommodating with that. Now, Riu Republica is in fact a party resort, there is a lot to do, to keep you active. Plenty of drinks to go around and trust me, those drinks will creep on you before you know it. The staff were okay, but some of them looked really annoyed if you ask them for something. The restaurants were pretty bland, but I found Kulinarium to be one of the better ones. Their breakfast and the jerk chicken spot were also top teir in terms of quick free food. We also had a night where there was no water for a couple of hours and everyone had to use bottled water to shower, flush toilets and whatnot. Overall, despite their flaws, It is still a fun resort to be at. Just know that you sort of get what you paid for since it is a cheaper option."
