"Host was very welcoming and property unique. Host was informative and always on hand to answer any questions. Complimentary small bottle of wine went down well and was a nice touch. Hotel and rooms were spotless, cleaned and re-stocked every day. Bathroom provided everything you could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again."

"The apartment was beautiful!! Clean, decorated lovely and functional. The bathrobes provided were an extra nice. The location was just perfect. We went to breakfast about a quarter of a mile away. Quiet, tucked away by the Holyrood house gardens, it was the perfect place to stay."

"TV didn’t work in the room for the first two nights. Staff initially offered to move us to a new room but then retracted the offer and instead offered a key to a room with a tv until they could fix it the next day. Not a great solution."

"Excellent refurb. Not stayed for many years but a vast difference from the Golf Inn days. Only point might be its a bit pricey in the Stables restaurant.. Also need stronger coffee in the mornings - stick an extra spoon in the pot please!"

"The property was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds and good utilities (dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven, fridge, freezer). Most necessary items were provided although it would have been nice to have some surface cleaning spray and more washing up liquid and toilet paper. Very nice bathroom and shower, although it took a while for the water pressure to get high enough and the heating was quite fiddly to get to the right temperature. "The hotel was supposed to be in a central location but it was 12 minutes walk to the shops and then a further 12 minutes walk to the bars, so it was too much effort to go out for a beer and something to eat on Saturday night. In cold weather conditions, you really needed to take a taxi everywhere. It was deadly quiet too with no atmosphere. In fact, it was more akin to a gentleman's club, rather than a hotel.
