Nice Hotel, rooms are a bit tired and beds were quite small. Public areas are very nice. Plenty of secure parking available which is good but it will cost €12.50 per day. The hotel building its self is beautiful, a lovely old building. Breakfast was very good, lots of options and very tasty.
Excellent hotel - only downside is lack of tea and coffee in the rooms. Otherwise great staff, great rooms and really comfortable beds. Ideal location for the Aviva stadium and 20 minute walk to central Dublin (Taxi 8 to 10 Euro).
It's a good hotel, not amazing but didn't pay much so not complaining. Booked a twin room but was given a double - no problem because we were swapped but a busier weekend and it might have been trickier.
Hot shower, comfy beds, clean room and helpful staff. About 25 min walk from city centre.
This hotel was about a ten minute walk to St. Stephan's Green and Grafton Street so it was a great location. It was right across from a small canal filled with swans it was beautiful. The hotel was clean and the staff were great. The view left a little to be desired as we faced the back of the building and the garbage bins. Other than that it was a great stay.
Loved the Hampton Hotel. The hotel accommodates all your requests, the reception desk is always pleasant. The room are comfortable with amazing bathrooms, radiant heated floors. The restaurant in the hotel serves delicious food and the bar is well equipped. I would definitely return to the Hampton Hotel in the future.
Because of the disruption caused by Fog and 30,000 people attending the the Web summit in Dublin, my flight 24 hours earlier had been cancelled and , in error, my hotel booking had also been cancelled by Expedia . I arrived late and was told I had no booking despite Expedia telling me that afternoon that it had been booked and confirmed. I was tired and fed up . The hotel owner couldnt have been kinder or more helpful. Despite being full he set about sorting me out a very comfortable room which I only learned the next morning was his own . I was offered tea and a sandwich before bed and the next morning the Breakfast lived up to its reviews Lovely home made Irish bread and jams . Full Irish Breakfast and the warmest of welcomes in a lovely old world setting . It certainly renewed my faith in human nature after one of the worst travel experiences Ive had. Old school hospitality is alive and thriving at Aberdeen Lodge.
This was a hotel that went the extra mile to give guests a great service. There was complimentary tea and coffee available 24/7, served to yor room if you wished. a lot of the time this included homemade cake. There was a very comfortable loungewith newspapers and board games.
Leafy Ballsbridge is a quiet and exclusive residential area, a 20-30 minute walk into town (served by frequent buses). The Grand Canal flows through it, and while much of this waterway is less than grand, there is a pleasant stretch near the Richmond Street bridge with canal-side pubs. George Bernard Shaw’s birthplace is a popular neighbouring attraction.
