Top Banff National Park Hotel Reviews

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

8/10 Good
"The lack of an outdoor pool or hot tub is a real drawback. The only pool is a dark, indoor one. The only outdoor hot tubs required a high per diem charge. At this price point (every room starting at over $1,000 per night), they should build a free indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs. Other than that, great place which knows it has a monopoly so you pay for the location. Bucket list item."

"While the resort met most of our needs, we didn’t get adequate housekeeping when we requested it. The suite was also extremely hot and there were only small fans available in the bedrooms."

Johnston Canyon Lodge and Bungalows

Johnston Canyon Lodge and Bungalows

10/10 Excellent
"This cabin is literally right next to the Johnston Canyon waterfall trails, which is a huge advantage .you can be on the trail in minutes without ever getting back in the car. The cabin itself is warm and cozy with great amenities, and it offers a welcome escape from the busy pace of city life. The BBQ, bike, and pickleball are lovely extras that make it easy to fill an afternoon without going anywhere. It's also a perfect base for breaking up the drive, whether you're heading out to Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, or the Icefields for a day trip. We'd happily stay here again."

"The property was well maintained. The staff was excellent and friendly. Great location. Close to Banf and Lake Louise. My 2 problems were that I wish there was a shower instead of a claw foot tub and the bed was up against the wall so if someone had to use the rest room during the night, you had to crawl over the other person. Other than that, it was very nice."
