"Pretty and quiet cottage conveniently placed off Amesbury high street. Large ensuite double room with king-size bed, tv and a delightful breakfast bag full of goodies which was more than adequate including 2 bottles of water and cartons of fruit juice."

"Katie and Clive are a lovely friendly welcoming couple. Our stay with them was great. Based in a quiet part of Box. Lovely walks from home and within walking distance of the pub for dinner. When we needed to leave early one morning, Clive made us sandwiches to take as we would miss breakfast. We will definitely return. "

"Stayed for one night only and what a welcome we had ! Absolutely brilliant hosts, Ellie and Rexy made us feel so much at home. Beautiful house and spotless, amazingly comfortable bed. We were visiting a circus at Bowood house and asked for info on taxis, advised it may be difficult to get a return taxi, but no problem we'll take you there and pick you up...!!! Just fantastic. On our return we invited our hosts to join us for a drink at the local... on arrival at the Lansdown about 9.pm advised...

"Beautiful little place, Ideally located near to shops,pubs,restaurants,etc. The flat is small but just right for a couple with perhaps one child It was clean throughout and well equipped with wahing machine, fridge,Microwave and cooker. The only tging we would say it needs are slightly better heaters, although they do just about heat tje propert to a bearable temp"

"Great service and very nice room. Dinner was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful. The only downside (and it was quite a downside) is that our room was above the kitchen and the door was on an automatic closer which meant it slammed every time it shut. And this started at about 7.00 in the morning...."

"The check in and check out times of 5.00pm and 9.00am respectively struck me as rather restrictive. However, the owner, Sara, was most accommodating in allowing us to check in at 3.00pm. It was appreciated. The room was very comfortable and everything a guest needs was to be found, from plush dressing gowns, for wearing when going to the toilet which was not en suite per se, but next to the bedroom we stayed in, to slippers, a hair dryer and a mirror, to an iron and ironing board. Even the mugs...

Due to a last minute family emergency Clea was incredibly accommodating to some late minute changes, which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend a stay if visiting the area."
