Firstly I want to say when I read the reviews about the Rowton I was very apprehensive about staying there, but after my stay there last week I feel those negative reviews are completely unjust. I had a Christmas do to attend that night I was travelling alone and sadly my drink was spiked, I was left paralysed in the process losing my phone, keys, cards everything! A colleague brought me to my hotel, but the vigilant receptionist saw I was not in any fit state and refused to let me colleague take me to my room without security. I don’t remember any of this at this point I was paralysed and had blacked out. I woke up at 5am in the morning with no recollection of what had happened to me, I was tucked up safely in bed but didn’t know how. I was freaking out still with the after effects of being spiked I was in full on panic, frantically searching for my phone trying to understand why I felt like I’d be hit by a truck. I went to reception and was met by the front desk manager Amy and her colleague who were incredible, there’s not enough words I can say for how much they helped me that night. They had notes about what happened from the receptionist at the day shift Shazia, who even wrote the description of the men that brought me back with contact details so I could verify things. They calmly explained to me what happened both concerned about my well being and health. They all went the extra mile and made sure I got home safely when I had nothing. Thank you so much.
