"We stayed 4 nights. After a poor standard Classic room (32) on our first night (cleanliness issue), we were moved to the Bridal Suite for our 2nd night and we were told our first night was being refunded. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. On the back of that, we booked another 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Luxury room (Room 17). Beds in all the rooms were comfortable and the rooms provided all normal facilities (tv, table, chair, toiletries, wifi) and we could go to Reception for more tea/milk/water, which was much appreciated. However, the issue of floor cleanliness became the turning point for us. In all 3 types of rooms we occupied it wasn't nice to walk on the floor in bare feet. All the floors (bare black floorboards) need a good scrub and in Room 17, the curtains need to be taken down and washed, the bottom 4 inches being grimy. This doesn't fit with the description "Luxury". After the staff had bent over backwards to make our stay special, we felt we would be churlish and ungrateful if we brought up the subject of cleanliness again, so we ended up moving to another hotel. "

"Lovely hotel, really nice touches, pillow spray, very cute cuddly dragon on the bed and free night caps that you could help yourself to.Breakfast that was cooked to order with a good choice, cannot fault the hotel or the staff, would definately stay again"

"Nice time overall. Disappointed there was no hot water Saturday night & that we didn’t get robes as stated we would in the deluxe rooms. Also toiletries very sparse had to ask for soap. Was thankful we upgraded the room for our parents as their room was lovely. Fabulous view. Staff were delightful but think they could do with more as not enough of them to provide the service you would expect ( isn’t their fault just not enough of them) Breakfast was lovely and we were very grateful for the later checkout. "

"Lovely grounds and excellent staff. The deluxe room was nice. It was tired, it would benfit from a fixutres and fitting refresh. We were comfortable and I wouldn't let this stop me booking again. The jacuzzi was not operational on both day and this was disappointing. I feel something could have been done to compensate for this. The pool was also a touch cold for me. I booked 2 treatments. I was initially over charged for these but this was rectified when I made it known. Cocktails were fantastic although expensive, especially with service charges added on!"
