"We had a very enjoyable stay overall and were satisfied with most aspects of the resort. The property was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and most staff members were friendly and helpful.If you're looking for a relaxing environment, quiet, gentle, adults-only hotel, I think you shouldn't hesitate. One thing we really appreciated was the housekeeping service. The room was cleaned very frequently and efficiently — it almost felt like the staff were ready to clean as soon as we left the room, which made the stay feel very comfortable and well taken care of. The food was also fresh, with a good variety of options across the restaurants and buffet. The overall dining experience was very pleasant. The only thing to note is that the resort building itself is not very large, so for a longer vacation, especially more than 10 days, it might feel that there are not quite as many facilities to explore. The only small issue we experienced was that a few staff members in some dining areas had very limited English, which made communication a bit difficult at times. For example, at the buffet, some items needed to be ordered directly, but the ordering process was not very clear and sometimes relied mostly on gestures. The order sequence also felt a little disorganized, with no clear first-come, first-served process. That said, this was only a minor and occasional issue and did not affect our overall enjoyment of the trip. We still had a great time and would consider coming back."

"Staff was extremely unfriendly. Only 1 waiter was actually fun and happy. Everyone else seemed miserable. Front desk staff was rude and unfriendly. Key card kept deactivating then had to wait in line at the front desk for 10-30 minutes to reactivate. Everytime this happened-the safe in our room had to be reset so we had to wait for maintenance to come reset the safe. Our room had a HORRIBLE sewage smell. Maintenance came and sprayed cleaner in the drains and around the maid sprayed febreeze. Within a few hours the smell returned. I will never return. This place did not give off a ‘resort’ feel. And we also were very sick when we left."

"There was a staff member at the surfing area who prioritized other ethnicities over me. It was very obvious and his words confirmed my thoughts. He tried to scare me off by approaching me at the bar, tried to ignore me, while trying to talk to my wife instead of confronting me. Very unprofessional. The pool area was very dirty, the pool tiles were all coming off, had mold between the tiles, there were dead geckos in the pool, grease from food, etc. As soon as you step into the hotel, there is a musty smell. I had very high expectations because of the reviews online. Some good things I would say this hotel has is the choice of alcohol, the transportation all throughout the hotel, the entertainment is good, and the food was very good. I would rate this hotel a 6/10. I would not recommend it to family or friends."

Occidental Costa Cancún All Inclusive

4/10 Poor

"The room was clean but the drain in the shower was bad and although I asked them to fix it, it wasn’t. Food was nothing great and I’m not a picky eater. The bartenders were attentive and very hard working but the quality of liquor was bad. I think the worst part was the front desk. Very inattentive. I offered to pay more for an upgrade and they told me I had to wait to check availability until the next day. There is only one pool so we spent a lot of the time in the beach area. The shows were fun to look at. Overall, it was ok but would not stay there again."

Wyndham Grand Cancun All Inclusive Resort & Villas

10/10 Excellent

"This was our 5th stay at this resort. First it was Omni and now Wyndham. We enjoyed our stay in a villa at this beautiful resort. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. Thank you to Julio at the beach, Ivo and Sergio (?) at La Vista and all the wonderful wonderful bartenders that provided great service. A special thank you to Patrica with concierge for helping us with our stay. We look forward to returning again in the near future."
