"Room was clean , the service was grate. Lots of place to seat by pool .we enjoyed the french /gormate restaurant as well as Restaurant 9. Buffet and bar by beach was very comfortable. "

"My only complaint is: there are not enough lounge chairs with umbrellas for everyone. People reserve their chairs and never come to use them. It’s very frustrating when it’s such an easy fix! "

"The resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the room was clean. The pool water was also clean and enjoyable. However, the service needs improvement. Some staff were not very welcoming, and I experienced long wait times to be served. The adult side buffet had limited options compared to the main one. The adult pool was very quiet and lacked energy, and overall the resort could use more entertainment. Overall, it’s a nice property, but better service and more options would improve the experience."

"We had an overall great experience at Meliá DR. The staff truly made our stay memorable—everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely supportive throughout our visit. The food was another highlight, consistently fresh and very enjoyable with plenty of variety. A special thank you to Reynardo at the concierge desk, who was superb. He went above and beyond to guide us and ensure we had everything we needed, making our stay even more seamless and enjoyable. The only downside was that the rooms are starting to show their age and could benefit from some updates. With a bit of renovation, this resort would be even more exceptional. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would gladly return."

"Assistant Carlos - I asked to make restaurant reservations for 6-7pm, we are 2 little kids, like 3 weeks before arriving, somehow he scheduled for 7:45, 8:45 etc. Rooms are old, wet inside, ACs leaking, 2 times issues with safebox. Need restoration. Staff do not speaking minimum English language. For the same amount of money, we had much better experience in another Punta Cana hotel."

"Our room was extremely loud as they had placed it close to reception area. The entertainment music along with guests and staff in the halls kept us and my kids awake every night. The staff didn’t speak English which made it hard to communicate regarding orders or asking for help. One Sheet in our room had holes in it and another a small blood stain. The bathroom provides no privacy for families as there’s a window looking into the room. Upon arrival, check in was dull. We were not welcomed or offered any beverages after 10 hr flight. Nothing was explained and our spa credit never provided. Beach was kept clean but very small and filled quickly with no spots left. Some Staff at buffets and restaurants did not seem eager to help. "

"To big of a property for amount of staff members. They lost our luggage for about 6 hours. Late check outs must be requested in person and at a charge. Food was nothing to brag about. Even the Italian restaurant was not good. Undercooked pasta and tasteless. "
