"Very beautiful hotel and garden. Excellent service and food. I had pain in soles of the feet but became much better with reflexology at the spa. Without asking I got a free upgrade to an ambassador suite and a bottle of very good red wine. "

"The building is fantastic with an amazing view from the roof terrace. Well located within the historic centre of La Orotava. Unfortunately there was no receptionist until 17.00, which was very stressful until I found a phone on which someone answered. Breakfast was delicious, staff were polite and helpful."

"Pros: Room was very clean. The furniture is in good condition (some new, some older). The mini-fridge was surprisingly spatious. The terraces are big equipped with clothes rack to dry them if needed. Surely, they propose cleaning and change of towels every day, but we asked for it only two times during our 9-night stay. Second time they changed the linens as well. Staff were all nice. Receptionists and bar/restaurant personell were helpful and attentive, and cleaning staff were top. The pull area and gardens are beautiful and well maintained. You can play mini-golf, ping-pong and tennis for free. Common areas are clean and in a good condition. Private parking has very limited amount of spaces, so we never catched it free, but around the hotel there are plenty of spaces, so we could find place even during the dinner when all people return back to the hotel. Breakfasts were ok, more or less the same all the time, but dinners were really good and different each day. Some days better, some worse, but overall it was always possible to find something for ones taste. Desserts were ok, ice cream was nice. We were in January, so I cannot evaluate air conditioning. Cons: They don't propose draft beer during the dinner. The heated pool could be warmer. Surely, it was warmer than non-heated ones, but still. There were barely a few people swimming. It was not our case, but some economy rooms seem to hava no view at all (on the wall), so it is better to verify with the hotel."

"Absolutely loved this hotel, we felt from our room we were on a cruise ship at sea. Fabulous setting, the staff could not do enough for you. The food in the dining room was excellent, lots of choice at the buffet. The only fault was we could have done with more English channels on the TV. We just received bbc news. "

"Just back from a week's stay, big hotel but you never get the feeling of being crowded. Our room had a kitchenette, which had enough equipment to make simple dinners & breakfasts. No air conditioning in the room, but not a problem as was cool in evenings/overnight. The staff were very helpful - overall a great place to stay in a nice part of Tenerife."
