"This is the 2nd time I was there for business. Where it was pleasant 2 years ago, this Feb. 2026 staff was cranky about my late arrival (and I alerted them) and giving me an unsatisfactory room because of it, the woman running the coffee shop was rude, and the front desk couldn't care less that I was stuck a few extra days due to the east coast blizzard. And the hotel and main area were barely crowded. I had to pay full extra rates with lots of bad attitude. Never again, they lost a customer."

"The property was very well kept, in a safe and inviting area, and the hotel and my room were very clean. The staff (except one) was very kind and helpful as well. I will definitely stay again. I do understand why rates are lower, as there aren't any "frills". However, not having any kitchen supplies was very challenging, as I hadn't known in advance, and when I went to make breakfast the next morning, I didn't have anything I needed. It was extremely frustrating, and had to go out for breakfast. Just as an FYI for future quality control, my best friend came up in the elevator to help me bring my luggage and my mother, in her wheelchair, down when we were checking out, but there was tape across the elevator only on our floor for maintenance. She said she had to duck under it. I asked the cleaning lady for help, and she did not speak a word of English. Then a staff member said I needed to use the stairs, seeing that my mother is in a wheelchair. When I reiterated that, he said, "Well then, you need to wait." I didn't receive any information or etiquette, and he walked away. Normally, when she is traveling with me, we stay on the first floor. But we came in late at night, and there was an emergency with her, so I needed to get her into a room right away, so I just took the room they gave me. If the elevator was truly out of service, why was there no tape on all the floors, and why was my best friend able to ride it? That is very concerning. "

"We stayed at the hotel due to the equestrian facilities, which are excellent. We did encounter a number of issues. First, the key cards often do not work. I got 4 key cards at check in and 1 worked. I had to go reset our key cards at least 3 times during our stay. One of the rooms we had checked into had a strange noise coming through the walls, I think it may have been the central air system, but sounded like crickets in the wall. The staff did not seem surprised when I complained. They moved our room, but it was 10:00 at night and we had to pack everything up. The rooms were cleaned, but not often stocked accordingly. Multiple times I had to call housekeeping because we were only left with 1 washcloth, or 1 towel. We did request our room be cleaned one night after 5:00 pm and they said they do not work that late, but there were several cleaning carts in the hallway at that time. Overall, I would stay here only because of the convenience of the equestrian facility. It is not a vacation spot."

"The property is well kept., the dining staff is friendly and nice. However I had a terrible experience with one of the managers, her name is Joan. Hotel security was sent to my room by Joan because of a card issue which was a fault in the hotels system. I was left rather embarrassed because other guests were looking on and may have formed their own opinion of why hotel security was at two black peoples room. All other staff were extremely nice and accommodating. In addition to that she called my room two consecutive early mornings woke me out of my sleep. She was very rude and exercised poor judgment. I honestly believe even though she has risen to the position of manager she needs additional training in customer service. She is a very poor representation of the Silverton hotel. I did not fully enjoy my 50th birthday celebration because of this incident with her. I strongly believe the hotel owes me an apology and also some form of compensation "
