"Arrived in the afternoon and it was raining and were met at the door by a Porter with an umbrella and they unloaded the car and parked it. Room was not quite ready so sat in lounge with fire blazing until it was. Our room in the old stables was lovely, spacious and had excellent modern bathroom. Gardens around the hotel looked beautiful, but as was raining did not get to explore too much. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were excellent and staff friendly. I would recommend this hotel"
