Top County Galway Hotel Reviews

Leonardo Hotel Galway
6/10 Okay
"We paid $520 for one night at this hotel. This property has a good location, but that’s where it ends. The hotel and rooms are dated and there are few amenities. The price per night is not warranted. This property is a 2-3 star hotel at best. The staff were not always helpful."

Clayton Hotel Galway
4/10 Poor
"This is a modern hotel which looks good from the outside, but we found it seriously lacking in a number of areas. First, we stayed for three days, but our room was never cleaned at all. I thought it was an oversight after the first night, but the second night the housekeeping staff was again a "no show." We told the front desk, and of course they profusely apologized. But cleaning a hotel room should be automatic each day! Two days in a row of neglect is serious. We also left our tray of used dishes in the hallway, and they stayed there all day. We also found the restaurant to be significantly understaffed. Large groups were in the hotel while we were there, but the wait staff was minimally staffed at best. We waited a long time before even ordering. The food was OK, but again they should have been properly staffed for the amount of guests they had. Management was clearly not prepared for them. One other item: I went down to check out the pool the first night, and it was closed for no apparent reason. All in all, this hotel was a big disapointment."

Radisson RED Galway
8/10 Good
"The property was clean and well maintained with a modern look. The room had an efficient layout and the beds were comfortable. There was also a decent amount of water pressure and there was ample parking. Two minor issues were the shower design seems odd as water gets all over the floor and it was hard to hear the front desk staff on the phone."

The Snug Townhouse
8/10 Good
"Right in the middle of everything. Absolutely fantastic location. Great air conditioning. It is very snug. No elevator so you may have an issue if you are on the top floor. Great people. Fun place but very snug!"

Connemara Coast Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"A beautiful location and an ideal base to explore the west coast. Rooms were spacious, clean & beds very comfortable. Staff all very helpful & friendly and the food was great too. We visited during a heatwave (which is rare) but it was uncomfortably hot in the room, even with fans - air conditioning would be ideal and if the weather patterns continue, this might be a worthwhile investment? The only other thing we missed was a fridge in the room - being able to chill drinks would’ve been even better. However, overall a great hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay! We’d definitely consider a return in the future."

The Dean Galway
8/10 Good
"The check-in process was terrible. The lobby was full of people from a big group and we stood around waiting for nearly a half hour to get checked in after a long day of travel. The room was small but comfortable and we enjoyed the general vibe of the place. Staff were very friendly, we loved the gym, small pool and ice baths and we had a really good breakfast."

Clybaun Hotel Galway
10/10 Excellent
"Room were really clean, staff very good, breakfast very good. Parking ok. Only we have complain for toilet and we can't use cold water on sink( washed teeth on bath). Swimming pool unusual - first time I saw like this ,for women part especialy. That is not suitable for people with any special needs. That's it!Thank you "
