Historic Hotels in Dorset

"Nice place, exactly what you'd expect from an older building in a high street. The room was ready, check-in was so easy it was done and I knew where the room was and where to find breakfast in less than two minutes. I even knew when the bar closed. Why can't all hotels be like this? The room was warm and comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee stuff. Easy car parking, and do hang around to watch the squirrels in the trees in the gardens. "Very near to the pavilion"

"This was a really lovely place to stay. We were a group of 8 friends, 5 of whom met at university and were celebrating 40 years of knowing on another. The property is characterful and quirky, and it felt very much like staying in someone's home. Had the weather been bad we would have found plenty to do in the house as there was a games room and a piano in the living room.
