"This hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of Chlemsford and it is only a short walk to the mainline train station, which has excellent and frequent Greater Anglia train services to London. The hotel staff, especially the reception ladies, are very friendly and pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet has now been replaced by a freshly cooked to order offering, for which you need to allow extra time. My only gribble was the breakfast coffee was tepid."

"Room was large and bathroom was clean. Breakfast was good but not so great for vegetarians. Tinned berries and thinly sliced oranges lacked effort and should be replaced with a healthy fresh fruit salad. Comfortable bed. We would definitely return. "
