Traditional style stone cottage on an elevated one acre site with sensational, extraordinary unrestricted southward views over Dunmanus Bay and set in the most sought after area of Dunbeacon near Durrus, South West Cork.

The cottage is located on Mizen Head Peninsula. It's light and spacious and furnished to a very high standard. It was designed to maximise the spectacular views of Dunmanus Bay, Mount Gabriel, Sheep's Head Peninsula and beautiful countryside.

The accommodation includes an open plan living room with kitchen and sun room. Wood burning stove, three large luxurious bedrooms, stylishly traditional with master bedroom including en suite bathroom. Family bathroom and utility room. The many features incorporate double glazed windows, natural pine wood finishes, slate floors, and newly installed oil fired central heating.

Superb peaceful location near Durrus, yet only ten minutes from popular villages of Schull, Ballydehob, Goleen. Twenty minutes approximately from market towns of Bantry, Glengariff, Skibereen and Baltimore.
Sandy beaches at Barley Cove and Crookhaven, fishing, golf, walking and cycling routes in abundance with the popular South Durrus and Mount Corrin Trail nearby. Several rustic pubs for hearty grub and gourmet dining available locally.

Great Quiet Location.
We absolutely loved the beautiful view overlooking the bay added with the green fields and mountains this really is a lovely location, and what luck with the weather. The house was perfect and tastefully decorated and the lovely stove and excellent central heating made it so warm and cosy. The kitchen was well equipped and great facilities all round, including good sized comfortable beds and a lovely big bath that was super to lounge in especially after all that walking. Our doggy especially loved the sun room. A perfect spot for touring this gorgeous coast and how lovely to come back to a quiet spot with just the sounds of nature and stunning sunsets. We will hopefully be back and thank you Richard for sharing your house with us.

Wonderful country house!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful country cottage. The house is generously sized and we had plenty of room for our family of four to spread out, and yet still spend most of our time all together. The location is fantastic - remote enough to feel out of the way, yet close enough to towns for convenient grocery shopping and sightseeing. Every room has beautiful views of the bay and Sheep's Head peninsula. We filled our time with day trips throughout the area, but we were also very happy to sit in the cottage and relax in the peace, quiet, and natural beauty of the area. We will try to be back!

Especially loved walking to the standing stones for a “spiritual “ experience. Shopping in Bantry and restaurants were great. Will be back.

Dunbeacon View ist ein wunderschönes Haus, das sehr viel Platz bietet und mit allem drum und dran ausgestattet ist. Es ist sauber und modern eingerichtet - alles da und dran, um sich wohl zu fühlen.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus
Das Ferienhaus ist klasse. Gut ausgestattet und Anna , die einen einweist, super freundlich. Die Lage ist sehr gut und die Aussicht spitze. 2 Dinge, die ich sehr schade finde, sind, zum einen, der Hinweis, dass Müll, Strom und WiFi extra bezahlt werden müssen mit der Höhe der Einheit, waren nicht wirklich ersichtlich ( halten sich aber in Grenzen) und das andere, ein Grill und ein paar Gartenstühle zum Sonnen wären toll gewesen. Ansonsten war alles top.
