"I liked everything about the Lodge, friendly staff, excellent service. The hot tub was excellent too. It is nice and quiet here too. I will definitely rebook in the future."

10/10 Excellent
"We had a 1 night stay while attending a nearby festival, but wish we'd stayed longer. The most wonderful staff, particularly Mandy on Reception who was super friendly and helpful. 11 out of 10!
In addition, the bed had a very comfortable mattress, the rooms had lovely views, the location was great just off the A1. We had a drink on the terrace in the sunshine and enjoyed everything this hotel had to offer. Recommend!"
"Stayed just the one night but the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Comfy beds, lovely linens and everything worked, even if it's a little worn round the edges in some places (well it is an old place after all!)
Quiet and peaceful location. "
"A comfortable, quiet yet conveniently situated hotel. Our king size bed was a little firm, but that's personal taste. Breakfasts were tasty and nicely cooked and served. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel. There's plenty of car parking, but it does get busy with diners' cars. The free wi-fi was fine. Out tv needed a new aerial cable, which was sorted immediately when we raised the issue. Staff were friendly and approachable.
Sadly, as the twelve bedrooms are all up one or two flights of steep, quite narrow stairs, we won't be returning - but would recommend it to more mobile travellers. "
