Glenalmond was perfect for our stay. It was only a 30min walk into the center of Edinburgh and the staff (especially Jimmy) were excellent.

The place of accomodation was handy for everywhere with regular bus service. The service in gueat house was exceptional, accomodating requests, that some places wouldn't. Breakfast was lovely and there was loads of options for everyones taste and dietary needs. And the building was really nice and clean, only missing maybe a luggage rack in the room. I found it good that they were into recycling and being energy efficient, but the recycling of guests rubbish I found bit invasive. I would much rather separate my own rubbish, if there is a bin with 3-4 slots and one can separate ones own (done this in hotels before) and not having somebody go through ones waste afterwards.

I’ve stayed at Glenalmond twice and found a great welcome on both occasions. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and well equipped and the breakfasts perfectly cooked. The location is a half hour walk to the centre but Newington up the road has plenty of restaurants and shops. My first choice now for a visit to Edinburgh
