We really only used this as an overnight stop on our return leg of a road trip. I would actually have liked to stay here longer and make use of the facilities. Friendly staff and very nice lobby/bar area. Lovely roomy bathroom (although no bath but delighted with a large shower instead). All very clean. Not a lot in the immediate vicinity but lovely and quiet and very quick and easy to pop into Falkirk.

Excellent location right beside tram station which arrives direct from airport. Lots of added extras like champagne on arrival, free mini bar and ghd in room . Situated middle of old and new town. Walking distance to Edinburgh Castle . Definitely be back , best ever hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at the Doghouse. Having stayed in some lovely hotels over the years, many of them are similar and monotonous. The Doghouse REALLY stands out from the crowd. It has huge amounts of character. The decor is fun and unique and I love how the rooms are themed on the different beers. The room itself was fantastic - on two levels with plenty of space, a large bed, sofa, kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are completely soundproof. There was no noise from the bar or other rooms at...

This hotel is outstanding. Every little detail, from the eggs benedict to the shower, the bath. The staff are warm and friendly and extremely competent. The room was spotless, the bed was huge and so comfortable. The shower was like standing under a waterfall. Best hotel in Scotland, in my experience. Didnt find a single flaw.

The entire experience was fantastic! Hotel in general - friendly concierges, smooth check-in, cool decor, comfy library, perfect location near the Royal Mile and National Museum, and right at the top of Victoria Street (Diagon Alley)! Room - the standard room we stayed in felt more like a suite! Heated floor, fancy control panels for lights and AC, tall ceulings, great bed, handy Smeg fridge, amazing-smelling toiletries, and a good shower too! Can't wait to go back, it was a flawless...

Car park was easy, check in was efficient, rooms were clean, tidy and lovely. The dining was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful, whether picking a wine, a gin or just chatting. Great experience

Great comfort, quiet room. Breakfast was first class. Staff couldn't have been nicer. Highly recommend.
