This structure is just awesome, instead of canal locks the boats get to the top, or bottom, and the WHOLE structure slowly turns and one boat goes up, the other down,,,, amazing engineering, amazing place...

10/10 Excellent

"Staff were fantastic and very friendly, especially the waiter in the bar. Hotel is lovely and a nice touch having mulled wine and mince pies out for guests. Room was big and clean. Bed was very comfortable as were pillows and duvets. Nice touch having the leisure facilities although pool could have been slightly hotter. Perfect location for princes street, Christmas markets, George street and st James quarter. Fantastic stay and can’t wait to return. "
