"Good place, good people. Like this chain, would happily stay there again. Little lapses - restaurant and terrace hours not listed anywhere I could find, for instance - had to ask. Arrangement with dry cleaners very helpful at the end of a month-long trip, but laundry list and staff gave different stories on timing. Likewise, I think there was room service, but there was no obvious menu or availability time listed anywhere and the restaurant menu on the web site doesn’t match the actual menu offered in the restaurant. Had a small room, which was fine, but the charging cradle/clock took up most of the nightstand. My phone and tablet can’t use it anyway. ) Phone fell one night when I rolled over too far and hit it. Beautiful bathroom, but not enough towel racks and the shower pan was angled so that water ran on to the floor. My sense is that they’re short on staff, and from things I picked up this is partly a result of fear of Trump’s ICE goons."

"After opening the door, we saw the bed was 3 feet from it. We can deal with a smaller room in NY, layout and bathroom were okay. After unpacking and then dinner, noted the tv would not change channels. Tried turning it on and off, and even unplugging it. Couldn't open the remote because the battery cover was screwed down. Went to call the front desk, but the phone was dead. Called on my phone, service tech came in about 15 minutes, and said yeah, they have problems with these tvs because an outside company services them. He had difficulty opening the remote too, did the multiple resets, unplug, and gave me a second remote which turned on the tv. He changed out the phone battery. He left after 45 min, tv did shut off with the new remote. It was now too late to wait for him again , so no tv service (we had planned to watch a movie) at night nor in the morning. Good waste of our time after travel. Saw same front desk person in the morning, complained but he could care less it seemed, no apologies either. Went to breakfast elsewhere, came down to the same front desk person, and asked for a manager. He said manager would be out in 5 minutes. I called an Uber in the meantime which came in about 15 minutes before seeing any manager so we left. The Fairfield down the block was a MUCH better experience, we stayed there 2 nights a few days prior. I wonder if booking through hotels.com instead of Marriott made them treat us different. I'm a Gold Elite member so stay in Marriotts alot."

"The stay at the hotel was fantastic. My issue is directly with Expedia customer care. I've been a customer for over 10 years and I was assured an issue would be resolved with my reservation and it was not. I accidentally booked the wrong weekend and the booking was not refundable, however I immediately called customer service and the hotel directly. I was told that Expedia needed to email the hotel directly with the correct date and I would be rebooked without a penalty. For 3 days I followed up with Expedia and the hotel, I was told the email was not sent to the hotel. The day of my travel an email from Expedia indicated that they were not able to resolve the issue. I rebooked directly with the hotel paying again. Upon arrival, the hotel shared that they never received an email. I am beyond disappointed of the service, being a loyal customer of countless booking via Expedia. I will not use this site ever again."
