Quiet location. Easy to walk into Durham to see the sights and easy to get out of town to visit other parts of the North East. Staff are extremely friendly and obliging and the food served in the restaurant is of a high standard. Our only criticism applies to some of the furnishings and décor where some further upgrading is required. But we could have just been unlucky with our room[room 9] and other bedrooms may be quite different.
