"The staff was amazing and so kind. The food was incredible for an all inclusive and there were so many fun activities. We really enjoyed the Riu Party; which they do a great job promoting and it was honestly so much fun. The price was superb, especially compared to other more expensive all-inclusives in the area. All in all - 11/10!!"

"There is a lot to like about privileges. The location is fabulous. The beach club is excellent except the chairs are very far from the shoreline and the front row is all reserved for an extra fee. The food is good at the beginning of the week and slowly goes downhill as a week goes on the seafood that was fresh on Monday was mushy on Thursday. Breakfast is the best meal there. The pool bar is excellent but very small and when the resort gets busy, wait for drinks can be very long. Something that I personally have a problem with is that there is no designated smoking area on resort. One of the things I enjoy doing on vacation is having cigarettes and playing dominoes with my husband buy a bar. The only place to smoke on resort is on the street. It is very rude. Smokers are paying to stay there as well and I always feel safer at night as a woman smoking on the resort instead of being made to go to the street to smoke. Another problem that I had is that the wristbands that they have for you must be worn and after a week, they are just cheap plastic bracelets and I developed a rash. So I would wear it when I would place orders and when I left the resort I would take it off to avoid rash even leaving the resort I was harassed by security for not having my bracelet on if someone is going to be staying there for a week a bracelet made of cloth or one that can be removed easily or perhaps something that I can wear on my ankle would’ve been preferable. 3 stars"

Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"Overall we had a nice stay at Secrets Playa Blanca, with both highlights and frustrations.The resort is beautiful, easy to navigate, and exceptionally clean. Our room was spotless throughout our stay, and the staff overall were friendly and helpful. A special thank you to our butlers, Eduardo and Duran, who went above and beyond with communication, reservations, and making my husband’s birthday extra special. Angela, Carin, Oscar, and our housekeeper Alan were also outstanding.We stayed in a Preferred Club swim-out room and enjoyed it, especially in the mornings. The PC infinity pool is quieter than the main pool. The swim-up bar was often crowded. The beach had significant seaweed and red flags throughout our stay, which was disappointing, but we still enjoyed relaxing by the water. The men’s dinner dress code is stricter than necessary for a beach vacation atmosphere, so plan accordingly. Dining favorites included the gyoza at Himitsu, the short rib tacos and beef soup at Seaside Grill, and the french onion soup and pork belly at Bordeaux. Coco Café quickly became one of our favorite spots.The resort is about an hour from the airport, so I recommend arranging transportation in advance. There is not much nearby, so plan to enjoy the resort amenities and entertainment, which were excellent. My biggest frustration was the vacation club presentation. What was presented as a 90-minute informational breakfast became a much longer sales presentation and left a negative impression."
