"My husband and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary trip to Victoria. Rooms are a little dated but staff was super friendly, location - amazing, breakfast- really good, and the price was great! Definitely would stay here again!"

"Coin laundry available. Great old school pool and big hot tub. Great location. Great for families as you can off set the cost of Victoria by buying groceries as there is a full kitchenette. Grocery store is 3 blocks away so you can stock up on essentials. "

"My room flooded and was caused apparently from another rooms bathroom leaking. They did not even send someone up to mop up the water. My laptop, AirPods, backpack, and chords/chargers were wet, and I have to pay to get my computer checked as some keys aren’t working. They gave me one night off my final transaction, and upon asking if there was anything else they can do for me, the manager said “one night is already a lot.” Disappointed, I come in April every year and usually enjoy it and previously have been happy every stay, but this incident ruined it for me. "

"A beautiful hotel with a rich history! You can't beat the view of the harbor and location for activities. Plus, the Visitor's Center, harbor taxies and tour busses are all within a block. The staff was so friendly and professional. The rooms were awesome, with great beds and pillows. My only complaint is that some rooms have you check in on the 1st floor vs the main lobby. However, the bell hops will assist you with getting you and your luggage there. If you drive a SUV, you won't be able to self-park in the garage. However, the staff will park your car for you in their private lot. I would highly recommend a stay at the Fairmont Empress. Don't forget to book tea!!"

"The room was clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly, parking was safe and breakfast was exceptional. There was even a Nespresso machine in the room! This is such good value. We were on the main floor and was surprised at how quiet our room actually was."
