"Clean room and very warm on a cold and snowy night. There are no staff and it is "self serve"; however, they are reachable by telephone and extremely helpful. The bed and linens were super comfortable. Checkout is promptly at 11 am."

"We’ve never felt more compelled to leave a review. We’ve stayed in some incredible places, but MtDome was truly something special and tops them all.The dome was even bigger than we expected—you would be hard-pressed to find a hotel room this spacious anywhere on the island. But what impressed us most was how thoughtfully designed and functional everything was. The host truly thought of every detail. The heating, Wi-Fi, kitchen, coffee setup, and sauna were all incredibly easy to use, and the entire place felt comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived.There were interesting books, tons of games, and so many little touches that made us want to simply stay in and enjoy the space. We had a blast playing cards, relaxing in the sauna, and just taking in the view.And that view. Falling asleep in such a comfortable bed looking out at the Icelandic landscape was unforgettable. We happened to have a rainy evening, and somehow even the rain made the experience better—it turned the dome into the coziest, most romantic place imaginable.This was one of those rare stays where the property itself becomes one of the highlights of the trip. We came to Iceland expecting incredible scenery and experiences; we didn’t expect one of our favorite memories to simply be spending time together here.If you’re considering booking MtDome, do it. This place is incredibly special, and we already know we’ll be talking about our stay here for years to come."

"Very quiet area of town outside Reykjavik. Hotel was clean and had plenty of amenities. Only scary part was someone walking into our hotel room at 2am because the door wasn’t closed properly. Didn’t learn till after that you have to lift door for it to properly lock. Overall, was a nice stay"

"Overall a good stay. We were a little surprised by the level of cleanliness when we arrived- we arrived to the beds poorly made and lots of lingering hair over the linens. Not sure if that can be avoided, but it was unfortunate to find. The outdoor shower was a real treat! We went to use the hotub on the first night, but that was the only time. The water looked clean but smelled like mildew and after use our bathing suits smelled of mildew for the remainder of our trip. We ran the clean cycle twice, but it did not improve the smell of the hotub water. Beds were very comfortable and an extra light in the kitchen would be helpful. Kitchen was very clean. We tried very hard to leave it better than we found it for the next guests. Host was very good at communicating and made the experience to check in and out flawless."

"We really enjoyed our time in our static bus. The views of the mountain were superb, and it was nice to be able to walk some way up the side of it, to about 150 m. I could have gone higher if I was suitably equipped. The bus itself was well equipped, though the kettle took a long time to boil. We planned our hot drinks well in advance. Linda was very helpful and supplied a bowl to do the dishes as there was no stopper in the sink. The toilets and showers were close by and worked very well. Great location close to the highway with good views over the bay towards Reykjavik."
