"Everything as you would expect with bar and restaurant on site. I arrived by train and local Radiocab taxis were brilliant The hotel staff were polite and helpful "

"Absolutely fine, was welcomed by a thoroughly nice chap who checked us in etc. Room was up in the rafters but was nice, comfortable bed and a magnificent bathtub. Spent an hour in the bar and enjoyed that, drinks were reasonable price and it seemed to be quite full. Had to leave at 06:00 to catch ferry so didn’t eat breakfast. Only negative was the toilet seat was quite loose and I felt a little uneasy sitting on the pan, expecting it to slip off at any second. Absolute not a show-stopper...

"Long weekend away booked the Ryde Castle. I have stayed before here, for business. This time with my wife. Did not disappoint, fantastic seaview. Great breakfast. The stay was made so welcoming with all the staff especially Charles, reception and the breakfast staff. Basically everyone. Fantastic will book again. "

"The hotel is well situated and the room suited my needs but was very tired and in need of a spruce up. Walls very scuffed, shower curtain had brown stain all along bottom, and door chain didn’t work. Lots of little things which don’t do the hard working and very nice staff justice."

"Pleasent stay, very dog friendly, lovely staff and great location for walks by the beach. We also had dinner and breakfast in the pub and both meals were really good. "

The gnocchi didn't have any chestnuts, The pancakes didn't have coconut yoghurt for example. More vegetarian options would have been welcomed."
