Initially we could not find the property, but Kathryn came out to the Little Village, where we had stopped and brought us to the property. The room was fantastic. The room was absolutely beautiful the bed was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and breakfast the next morning was absolutely smashing. We will definitely stay again, and we highly recommend this lodging to anyone else."

"A beautiful property that has been renovated tastefully by the owners. Free parking at the rear of the property. Very comfortable room (we booked a superior room) and bed, good breakfast selection from continental to full English. Location is great, just a 5 minute walk into York, we really enjoyed our stay. "The owners were very courteous and friendly. We only stayed the one night, but we were impressed with the condition and standard of the room. All the little extras were extreamly thoughtful, inc a small sewing kit, playing cards, a fridge with fresh milk, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, toiletries, iron, radio, tissues, water, immaculately clean linen and towels. Breakfast was tasty and filling with a variety of hot food as well as cereals, fruit, toast and juice. Very highly recommended....

"Good location close to the Minster. Room was on the main road side of the building, but we'll sound proofed. Some noise from the bar, but this is expected in a pub. Problem with loss of hot water pressure on the final morning was irritating, but these things happen. Clean and comfortable. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on the food. "
