"Stayed here for three nights for our anniversary in a very nice feature room overlooking the gardens. Huge windows looked out over large, nicely kept grounds. Comfy bed and plenty of storage for clothes etc. The very plush carpet has seen better days where previous guests have spilled things and the stains still show. Large bathroom with bath and shower. "The room is basic, but clean, warm and comfortable. Single glazed windows don't keep much of the road noise out but, had it not been for karaoke (which I was warned about and finished at a sensible time) I wouldn't have heard the pub. For the price, certainly can't grumble. Only main gripe was the fire exit sign, which I'm sure is far brighter than it needs to be. Bring shower gel! "

"A fantastic hotel. The location next to the railway station was ace. We checked in but had to sit and wait for our room key. The guy came over and said sorry for the wait but here is a brand new refurbished room as we had to wait. Great service great staff and a very good breakfast "
