"Lovely beer garden with the option to eat meals in the beer garden
Parking was a bit hit and miss as there are a lot of rooms and not a lot of parking spaces
Staff were very friendly and meals very good
Accommodation was very comfortable and rooms were quiet
Highly recommended"
"Absolutely lovely place to stay, very close walk to town too and such good options for food! Room was great and would thoroughly recommend this property to stay at!"
"We stayed here for 2 nights when we attended a wedding. Great location with access to shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean with good bathroooms and comfy beds. Breakast was included and it was tasty and fresh. We are vegan and it is the best hotel breakfast we have had. But the thing that elevates it is the staff. So helpful, attentive, and friendly. A great stay."
"This was perfect for a one night stay. At £78 per night I guess that’s a mid price range for pub accommodation. It was a lovely spacious, clean room.
My only criticism would be that the whole accommodation area would benefit from from some redecoration as it looked a little tired. "

A very pretty market square, the castle worth a visit. It's a good base. The centre smaller than expected. Cafes closed at 4pm the only places to eat in the evening were 3 pubs with pub food and one Italian which was excellent, with great breakfasts

Nice shops , cafes, restaurants and a bustling town centre that always seemed to attract classic cars and bikes.

"We stayed one night.
The inn is perched up right on the edge of the moors with some stunning views.
It is a 2 min walk down the hill to the beautiful hamlet or up the very steep hill to the ruins of the old iron ore furnaces.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic we would book again.
