"We had a really lovely couple of days stay in the Romany caravan. We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes. Bruce left us the most amazing welcome pack, lots of homemade goodies we were well & truly spoilt. Great little place with stunning views and peace and quiet. Leave your cares behind and go off grid for a few days, I can highly recommend it. Brilliant place for dogs, they are made very welcome with no charge."

The plot had plenty of space around to set up bbq room and room for kids to play. The site, washrooms and kitchen were like new, very well maintained regularly cleaned. "We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this beautiful, extremely well equipped lodge. As an extended family group with an 11 month baby and a dog it suited us very well and everyone was happy. Runswick bay has a beautiful beach and is quiet and unspoilt which suited us! Yet it was a short drive to hot spots such as Whitby, Sandsend and Robin Hoods Bay. We would love to return in the not too distant future."

"The hotel is in a great location, high up, with great views of the Abbey and the town. There are steps up to the hotel from the town or you can walk up the road (Khyber Pass). There is limited onsite parking which needs to be booked in advance. Room 2 was clean and had a new carpet and bed. It was quite a large room with a sea view. At the time of our visit (Sept. 2025), there was a lot of noisy work being done on hotel improvements, but this will only improve the hotel for future guests. The staff were very helpful and we would definitely stay here again."

"This is such a fabulous friendly relaxing place to stay :) The staff were lovely, and the food was excellent; we have food allergies, and the restaurant staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Our assistance dog was given a toy on arrival - it's definitely recommended for people wanting to take their dog on holiday with them. We had a stunning sea view from our room too - the beach is literally less than 5 minutes away. We will be back - nothing but praise for this lovely place."
