"Stayed for one night to attend a concert in Margate - couldn’t find accommodation in Margate but this was fantastic and in a much nicer area. The breakfast was great too"
"Very good value and the breakfast is a bargain.
Visiting in a heatwave, it perhaps wasn't ideal to be in one of the south facing bay window rooms with a sea view as it got quite hot, but any other time of year would be fine.
The shower was a little on the small side but worked fine."
"We stayed here for just one night whilst we were visiting friends in Herne Bay and we will stay again! It was so convenient, there was parking around the back, and the hosts were lovely. We stayed in Room 3 which was massive! It had a little lounge area, a lovely bathroom and the bedroom area was big as well with plenty of room to get ready. There was also a fan in the room which was appreciated! Breakfast was lovely and the choice was really good. We can’t recommend this place enough. "
"The hotel and gardens are beautiful - immaculate garden perfect for a pre dinner cocktail. Was very impressed with the decor and high standard of furnishings - should be a wedding venue or offer cream teas. We had an amazing dinner - cannot fault the food or drink!! "

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at one of the lookout suites. A really enjoyable experience and very close to the beach, bars and restaurants. We will definitely be back!"
"Smooth and easy check in. The most comfortable beds. Clean room. Close to shopping centre and less than 10 minutes by car into Margate town.
Very enjoyable stay."
"We received the warmest of welcomes from Jim, the proprietor. He was so lovely, funny and kind. Although the Shenandoah is a period house, it is right up to date, the decor and furniture looked new. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent, there was probably something to suit everyone. I’m a bit of a Nespresso addict and usually take a machine with me when I travel, I didn’t this trip but was delighted when I found a Nespresso machine in the breakfast room.
The Shenandoah has rooms to suit most. It even has glamping pods if you fancy something a bit different.
There is off street parking.
Thanks, Jim, it’s obvious that you’d go the extra mile for your guests!

"This is a gem of a place.
So,cosy, quiet even though in the old town.
So tastefully decorated inside and the patio areas.
Lovely teas to sample in the room.
Paul was helpful and charming when I finnaly found him!
Fabulous stay"
"We rented the property for four nights. The house is very tastefully decorated and there's plenty of space if you are a large family. The property was clean and the kitchen equipped with the basics required to prepare meals. However, the internet connection was appalling and constantly buffering, and as a self-employed small business owner was unable to work on several occasions. The internet also meant that in the evening it was impossible to watch a film on the smart TV without constant interruptions and error codes being generated. Additionally, there was an unpleasant odour emanating form the upstairs toilet. The location of the property was perfect for Dreamland and Margate beach but the street the property is on is a little run down which is a shame because it is no reflection of the standard of the property it's fixtures and fittings. The beds are very comfortable, however the storage space is somewhat limited with no proper wardrobes or chest of drawers in the main bedrooms with double beds, which may be an issue if staying for a longer period of time. All things considered I would recommend this house if you are after decent accommodation in Margate."
"The property was clean and spacious. We enjoyed a lot.The staff member was really helpful and I definitely recommended other people who likes quiet and peaceful to spend their time with their loved one. I will definitely planning to come back in future."
