"Check in was easy. Room was good size and clean. Bathroom was clean. King bed was comfy. Location is just down from the police station, which gave a presence of security. Pool was not working, and from what I can read in previous reviews and what we heard from other guests at breakfast, it’s been out of order for some time. That needs to be communicated. Breakfast: Coffee was hot. Cereal was fresh. Hot items (sausage links, eggs, potatoes) were okay. On a separate note: A couple miles from the hotel is El Charro Texano. It is absolutely delicious food and great service."

"This is the first hotel I’ve ever checked into where they didn’t ask for an ID at all. We walked into the room and there was a huge amount of hair on the corner of the bed. We also couldn’t get the tv to work. We let the front desk know the room originally didn’t have a remote. They sent one down that didn’t work so we called again. Someone came down and put some electrical tape on it and called it good. Once again it didn’t work and the front desk said they couldn’t do anything about it. Wouldn’t have been such a big deal if we didn’t have little kids that had been in the car all day from a long trip."
