"Room was on the small side _but_ perfect for just me. The Nespresso coffee machine was wonderful, surprised to be given 3 pods (guess I expected at least 4). Breakfast was really really good. The hotel was quiet after midnight (through to the morning), but a bit of noise in the late evening. Only downside is the restaurant. It was very very busy. The food was OK, but seemed very expensive. And then they add a 12% tip! Several tables I was sitting around commented on the surprise beer prices too (not listed on the drinks menu atall). I would stay again if I have to use MAN, but might look for a different dinner option."

"We stayed two nights in early June ‘26. The rooms left much to be desired. They were worn out and dated. The bathroom definitely needs updating- dirty with peeling paint and the toilet would not flush on our last morning. Not much fun. There is no AC, so windows are open in every room making for a lot of noise from the parking lot and jets heading into MAN Airport (right in the flight path). Close the window and the room somehow gets extremely hot. Even with the windows open the room had a strange smell of a strong cleaner, but it was still rather dirty. The hotel itself is very noisy and you can hear conversations in the next room,so keep your voice down if talking and you don’t want to be heard. Any movement from rooms upstairs sounds like cattle walking up there. The bed was not a quality mattress, even though they have literature in the room trying to sell you that brand of mattress. Very strange. The restaurant was closed for renovation when we were there (no notice from the hotel), so check before you stay (please, don’t stay) or plan on breakfast at one of the lovely cafes in town. You can definitely find better accommodation anywhere. We do not recommend the Premier Inn Stockport Central. Not of even 3-star quality. Sorry, we were really hoping for better."

"Many of the rooms have been renovated, but the hotel appears to be going for a very minimalist approach. Our room had a bed, a slim desk with an office chair, and two small side tables, along with five hangers on a long metal bar and three small hooks for clothing. There was definitely not enough hangers or space for one person’s clothes, let alone for two people staying in the room. The room did include an espresso machine and a water kettle, which we appreciated. The room had a large TV, but even though it was a smart TV, the hotel had disabled access to apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime, which meant we could only watch cable TV rather than log into our own streaming apps. The room also came with an ironing board on the wall, and an iron and small fan that were all placed on the floor in the corner of the room, which made the overall design feel even more awkward and unfinished. There was no mini fridge, no drawers, no dresser, no safe, no phone to call the front desk for service, no bench to sit on while taking your shoes off, no artwork on the walls, and no small dining table with comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or snacks. The washroom also had very limited space for toiletries, especially with no drawers or storage areas available. Overall, the room felt so empty that we immediately noticed it upon entering. Unfortunately, it gave the space an unfinished and somewhat awkward feeling rather than a comfortable or cozy atmosphere."
