The Lowry is always my preferred choice in Manchester. This trip found the reception staff a tad frosty, especially when checking in. I resisted on commenting on the lack of a smile! Didn’t bother with breakfast, as despite how good the food is, service is slow. Only other negative is the water pressure - the shower was a little pathetic.

Hotel property is in the nice neighbor, easily accessible from Manchester train station / airport. Hotel is very clean, staff is wonderful, rooms are very clean. Breakfast is awesome, have many options including vegetarian and vegan. Hotel is close to restaurants, conference center, mall, etc. We will definitely go back and recommend to tourists.

Very pleasant business hotel with good sized rooms. Having stayed at four hotels in the UK in 10 days, all "5" star, I would say this hotel is a lovely hotel but not a 5 star hotel. 4 stars plus.

I stayed here for one night as I was seeing a show at the 02 Apollo. Car park & hotel really easy to find. The lady who checked me in was lovely, my only complaint if I was being super picky was she didn't explain to me what time breakfast was or where it was served & check out times, things like that. Room was huge, very clean so no complaints! Before I left for the show I kindly asked the guy on the reception about what time breakfast was & check out as I had a treatment at the Spa at 10am. He very kindly said check out was 11am but as I was at the spa he extended it until 12.30 with no cost which was greatly appreciated. Didn't end up getting back from the show until late and the hotel was nice & quiet didn't hear anything from my room. Breakfast there was wide choice of options to pick from. Everything looked fresh & was regularly being topped up. All the staff I encountered was friendly, very welcoming and nothing was an issue. Would happily stay here again.
