"The staff were ok. The room was like going back in time.The furniture was discoloured and very dated. The bathroom was not great. Very disappointed with the breakfast. The photos show a nice continental breakfast but in reality you get some toast with jam or cereal with tea or coffee The rooms are not soundproof and we had some very loud ladies in the next room that decided to shout until 2am so no sleep for us All in all we would rate our experience a 2 out of 10 and that is being generous...

"We have stayed here a few times since it opened. To come to the spa is very much part of the break. The pools are lovely. Having paid for a junior suite we were then told it was £40pp for spa entry. What % of customers do not go to the spa. Really it is an increase in the room rate under a different guise and feels rather underhand. The breakfast also lacked some of the finesse of previous visits. The croissants and pastries seemed tough and probably cooked well before breakfast. The French toast was served on a piece of thin sliced bread. Not a fluffy plump piece of bread and had consequently burnt edges and generally not French toast. My husbands kippers were minute with a chunk of lemon on the side. Previously the lemon was in a linen cloth tied with a bow so pips were contained. It is the little touches that had all been cut back on, yet these tiny details are what made the crescent special and stood out from the crowd. I think Champagne's you are letting The Crescent down, which is such a shame. We have always recommended a stay now hesitant to do so."

"We were checking in quite late but staff very helpful and it was useful to be able to buy some snacks. Manager helpful and prompt in sorting out an issue with plug sockets. Some road noise but double and single bed gave us plenty of room. Car park full when we arrived but parking validated for multi storey so no issues. Great location and just what we needed."
