"The room was fine and clean although the tub was well worn. The only amenity was the ice machine which was great. I will say that the staff really could use some customer service skills. I had reserved a queen room and they didn't have it. I had extended the reservation an additional night but they claimed not to have that, then when I paid a second time, the only decent employee told me I had two rooms and I think I got a refund. I was told there was no coffee but it turns out they did have coffee, I learned on my last day. When I spoke to staff, except for the cleaner, no one looked at me or made eye contact or acknowledged what I said. A little strange."

"We had a King room on the second floor, which is outside entry up stairs. The stairs were clean and well maintained. Entry is by keypad, which worked well for us. Staff was helpful and friendly on checkin. The room came with a microwave and mini-fridge/freezer and th AC worked well. It was very clean and well maintained. The amenities were correct for the room (product dispensers in the shower (3) and by the sink (2), towels (2 sets), tissue, luggage rack, ironing board, etc). These rooms have been renovated relatively recently (a few years) and have been very well maintained so far. The rooms here are well above average quality for lower cost motels in this immediate area and we will continue to return so long as they continue to maintain the property so well."

"We were going to the Monterey Jazz festival and this was a perfect location. We did not hear noises between rooms but you are on a flight path for the Monterey Airport and a busy road so you do get that. But for what we were staying for it was super. The desk clerk was super helpful and was able to get us in early which gave us an opportunity to settle in and drive around. Being able to stay and walk to the festival grounds saved us on parking and the frustration."

"On arrival we were notified of a room upgrade that included a fireplace and balcony with a view of the ocean. It was beautiful looking out over the bay watching the sea otters, reading Steinbeck and just looking out at the water. The room was clean, valet parking was great and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast at the C Restaurant downstairs. It was convenient and the food was delicious. I will do this again and will stay here for our next trip to Monterey and the Aquarium which is a two-minute walk away. I loved every minute of our stay at The InterContinental Clement Monterey."
