"The hotel was clean, the staff was great, and it was located very centrally. Less than 5 minute walk to the train station. 10 minute walk to tour bus pickup point. 10-15 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle. Rooms were pretty quiet and very comfortable. There is no mini fridge."

Our room, the "crime suite", was quirky, but nonetheless welcoming under the gaze of life-size photo representations of Scottish crime-writers like Ian Rankine. Equally pleasing, the bathroom was large and superbly appointed. All the staff we encountered were friendly and diligent and the breakfast fare, including gluten-free for my wife, was excellent. A top-notch stay in a classy hotel."
