"This hotel was one of the best places I've stayed. In wonderful, but expensive Iceland, they provide a fantastic breakfast each morning that is worth the stay itself. More impressive are the helpful and friendly staff who helped me arrange transportation (I am handicapped) tours, all manner of assistance that really mattered to me. More than that, they did it all with a friendly smile and a lot of compassion. The hotel is situated in a part of the city that makes it easy to move about, as a bus stop is just up the hill, a five minute walk."

"It was relatively clean, staff was polite but short, location was great. I was a bit disappointed that the balcony was not private and had a stair leading down to the street, that made me feel slightly unsafe and was not mentioned in the listing. The sheets and duvet cover also had old stains and hair on them, and two out of three times we talked to staff they seemed annoyed that we bothered them, even tho we were quiet and respectful. The room often had a smell like sewer that we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. One other thing that was kind of annoying was the lack of good blackout curtains, which made a huge difference when the sun only set for about an hour. It seemed like we paid far more than what it was worth. It wasn’t terrible, but also wasn’t great."
