The hotel doesn’t merit a 4 star rating. The bathroom of the room we were first meant to stay in smelled badly. The hotel itself is in need of an update. The lawn chairs by the pool are not in great shape. The main redeeming quality of this hotel is it’s beachfront location and the beach is lovely. The staff at reception were not overly welcoming. I definitely would not consider this a “4 star boutique hotel”.

The hotel is nice as is most of the staff. However, the head receptionist who claims to be a “manager” is rude and lacks social skills. He was not only rude to us but also to fellow employees. Lucrecia is amazing and she treats people very well, We cut our stay short because we did not want to spend more money on a business that allows toxic employees to go unchecked.

The hotel is nice and the location is great, however the management protects rude employees (head of reception) that insult guests. There are many nice hotels for the same price in the area, spare yourself the pain, spend your money where customers are valued.

My 4th time at the hotel and my 8th time in this beautiful beach/bay at the Be Live resort hotel (the other is Marivent Adults Only which is also lovely but not as quiet or boutique).

Hotel staff were wonderful and the hotel’s proximity to the beach was perfect. That’s where the positive comments end. The hotel appears to be from the 1960’s-70’s era. The building and common area finishes appear to be original and very worn out. Our room’s air conditioning wasn’t working. They fixed it when asked to. We returned later to find a 1 meter diameter puddle of water on the floor and water dripping from the light fixture at the entry door. After 20:30, they offered us the keys to another room. No assistance moving our bags was offered. The next morning we were asked to move to a 3rd room. Again, no assistance was offered.
