Great location right on the beach, hotel could do with some decor updates, replacement carpets and new sun loungers. Had some issues with room on arrival but they were all dealt with promptly by the facilities team. Good breakfast selection.

I had a good stay. People working there are amazing. But the hotel is a bit rundown and old looking. Surfaces have marks and paint is peeling off. The wall paper in the bathroom is curling off the wall in the corners. The pool was dirty and had ducks swimming in it. There was bird droppings on the sun beds. The location on the beach is amazing and i loved waking up to the sound of the waves. This could have been so amazing. It was not all bad, the stay was ok, but not amazing.

Try it. it’s worth it!

We stayed for 10 days in this slightly tired looking hotel so had reservations about the stay but we couldn’t have been better looked after. The staff are so warm and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and to be honest the manageress Esperanza was so wonderful and really couldn’t do enough it’s no wonder the staff are so happy to work there. She was permanently on show and it was lovely to watch her taking the time to talk to all visitors with her lovely warm welcoming nature, it is easy to see she is definitely in the right career! The location, having its own beach on the doorstep is another major bonus . The towel changes, as often as you like is a definite a win in my book. Pool service from the waiters whether ordered or the little treat tasters of cocktails, kept us looked after and were always tidied up quickly and efficiently. We ate in the Masai restaurant and the food was 1st class. Nothing could be faulted. It was so good we went back for lunch on our final day because we wanted to end on a high note. The Al Cala may be next door to a 5 star hotel but the longer the stay, the more you learn to appreciate what it is about this hotel that’s sets it apart from the others. You leave feeling very rested and relaxed, planning your next visit, hopefully not too far away in the future. Try it it’s worth it!

Staff is all very kind and helpful. Rooms are updated and tidy, however there were ants that kept appearing near the sink. Bed was not very comfortable. Pool is very clean and lots of options for drinks and food by beach area. Parking is very minimal and you likely will have to park on the street.

My 4th time at the hotel and my 8th time in this beautiful beach/bay at the Be Live resort hotel (the other is Marivent Adults Only which is also lovely but not as quiet or boutique).

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The hotel looks absolutely nothing like the photos online, it’s misleading and downright dishonest advertising. The room was filthy, outdated, and crawling with ants. They were everywhere in the shower, in the sink, on the bed, even in the curtains. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable. When I brought this to the attention of management, they offered to clean the room… ants returned the next day. Management claimed “its because of the beach”. Tried to bribe us with a bottle of champagne…. This place is a nightmare. Save yourself the money and stress.
