"Nice hotel. Staff was nice. The hotel is a little dated but our suite was large and spacious. Shower was awkward. The only thing was that that housekeeping didn’t come around until close to 5pm our second day there and we were getting ready to go out for dinner so it did not get cleaned. Having said that, I asked the front desk to please have them clean our room the next day. They came much earlier while we were out and they did a nice job."

"The Elwood was okay for one night. Not sure I'd stay longer than that. Our TV only got a few channels and we weren't able to stream anything despite being told we could. The front desk wasn't helpful when we called with the concern. Our room phone also didn't work to reach the front desk so we had to use our cell phones. The bed was comfortable and the temp in the room was pleasant. The bathroom is tiny but there are some shelves outside the bathroom to store your belongings. Water pressure wasn't good in the sink but the shower was okay. We tried the restaurant on site for brunch. It was tasty and the ambience was good. Liked the outside area with ceramic fire places. Overall it's one of the better places I've stayed in Lexington but in general it's nothing over the top. It's a good safe place to stay for a night."

"We liked the room most of all. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and provided lots of useful seating and storage options. Breakfast is healthy and good; no fried foods as most hotels have for breakfast, which is a welcome change, IMO. The staff was friendly and nice. Parking was easy."

"Newly renovated...and looks amazing. We've been staying here for many years and have mostly been pleased, but this weekend stay was awesome. Rooms renovated, lobby, breakfast and bar area, etc. We'll be back...again!"

"I paid their pre authorization charge (the entire cost of the room) and then didn’t get the money back. They wanted to charge me again for the room and said I’d be getting the original charge back soon. That’s all fine except for the fact that I didn’t have enough to pay for the room a second time. Because of this, I couldn’t pay for my room and it had to be canceled. I just came to meet up with someone in town the next day, but I had to drive four and a half hours back home the same night. It was incredibly inconvenient. I understand it’s a policy, but it’s not a great one."

"Night staff acted really weird to my wife. Wouldn’t give her a card to the room, even though I called and had her name added. Very rude to her. Will never stay here again and I do not recommend anyone stay. "

"Would not stay here again. To start, when we I booked, I paid (extra) for a suite with a sofa bed. The room we were given had no sofa bed, it was just a standard room. We made it work, as we were told upon entry, that they were no other room available. We get into to room, it wasn’t awful looking, just a lot of holes in the walls (foreshadowing). We were provided ZERO towels in the room. We called and they brought offered us ONE towel (for 5 people). We checked out the hot tub, had to call for more towels there as well, as there were none….The hot tub was okay until my fiancé got in and there is a giant hole in one of the floor grates, so his leg went right into the hole and came out completely scratched up from the plastic broken cage. The best part was packing up and finding MOUSE DROPPINGS EVERYWHERE. They weren’t there when we arrived, but you could hear them skittering around during the night. Just a terrible experience l, and I cannot imagine staying here with small children! Stay somewhere else if that’s an option!"

"Horrible customer service checked in didn’t have the rooms that we had reserved. Gave us a room with flooded carpet toilet was leaking when we requested for a different room. Staff became argumentative as well. Had such a horrible experience. We ended up canceling our reservations and leaving that hotel will never stay there again. "
