Excellent location right beside tram station which arrives direct from airport. Lots of added extras like champagne on arrival, free mini bar and ghd in room . Situated middle of old and new town. Walking distance to Edinburgh Castle . Definitely be back , best ever hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at the Doghouse. Having stayed in some lovely hotels over the years, many of them are similar and monotonous. The Doghouse REALLY stands out from the crowd. It has huge amounts of character. The decor is fun and unique and I love how the rooms are themed on the different beers. Hopefully, we checked in early otherwise we would have stayed in the under-roof room, we changed and it was perfect. Staff, hotel, surroundings really we could recharge our batteries...Wonderful Scotland. Special mention for the food. The entire experience was fantastic! Hotel in general - friendly concierges, smooth check-in, cool decor, comfy library, perfect location near the Royal Mile and National Museum, and right at the top of Victoria Street (Diagon Alley)! Room - the standard room we stayed in felt more like a suite! Heated floor, fancy control panels for lights and AC, tall ceulings, great bed, handy Smeg fridge, amazing-smelling toiletries, and a good shower too! Can't wait to go back, it was a flawless...

Fabulous hotel, staff were so helpful and very pleasant

This hotel is outstanding. Every little detail, from the eggs benedict to the shower, the bath. The staff are warm and friendly and extremely competent. The room was spotless, the bed was huge and so comfortable. The shower was like standing under a waterfall. Best hotel in Scotland, in my experience. Didnt find a single flaw.

Generally good. High bath with shower not good for older guests. On raising issue the owner was very defensive saying there were other rooms with walk-in shower. No reference to this in room description.

Excellent location and customer service. Staff are really nice and friendly. They want to help you and ensure your stay is perfect. We had a great time and really enjoyed the Rusacks experience. We dined in all three restaurants/bars. Great options from formal to non formal dining. Of course, you also have the terrific views of the 1st and 18th holes - Old Course. All viewable, even if you do not get a links room. First class service and hotel. Will return.

Clean, spacious rooms, lovely livation, very handy for buses and the centre, excellent breakfast.

Rooms are just normal not realy apartment, but have a kitchen staff is great, not very smoker friendly need to take 2 elvators

Very good stay. We lived everything. I would just asd the air conditioning to the family room and the pillows were a bit hard in my room.
