"Lets start from the least. When I first entered the property I was a bit confused. The Hotel looked quite old from outside and I doubted myself and my choice. The tiny lift added even more doubt. But corridor looked very tidy and neat that was a sigh of relief. But the acual surprise was waiting still. Codes for room received within minutes, digital lock gave a hint. Once open the room I was stunned with the view, spacious room and toilet. The room was well prepared for the arrival. Needed nothing but a hot coffe in hand facing sea with homely atmosphere to relieve the tiredness after a long journey which I would say the provideder was 100% to accomplish with. The room and toilet were well maintained, set up to welcome the guests. I barely met the staff but I have to say when ever I met them they went above and beyound to help. Very close to local amnities which was even beneficial. Near by restaurents were affordable and added good taste to the stay. Especially "Best pizza" as the name indicates provided the best pizza experience I ever had. Overall excellent value for money and a pleasure stay if you are some one looking for an affordable but good holiday spot. I have no complaints or dislikes apart from the hotel exterior which had no impact on my stay at all. I highly recommend this property to stay (I would go again for sure in future) if you are someone who "doesnt judge a book by its cover""

"The Cumberland is a great little hotel, we stayed two night for the air show and we had a brilliant time. The rooms were clean and well maintained, we had a partial sea view room which was really nice and an inland accessible room which was spacious with twin beds which worked well for us. The staff were really friendly and extremely helpful. I contacted them before arriving to make sure that they were okay accommodating my dad electric wheelchair. We had a slight issue with the WiFi and internet in general coz it was the air show and it was very busy. The Cumberland is a great place to stay and watch the airshow from as it is right on beach in the middle of the all the action. I would definitely recommend The Cumberland to watch the airshow from. Love forward to seeing you again Cumberland."

"We loved our room - Junior Suite with the biggest ever bed and fabulous view from the window overlooking the sea, with the pier to the left and the bandstand to the right. Sitting at the window became my "happy place" for our three days! The Jacuzzi bath was a nice touch but we should have asked Reception for a suction handle for the wall as there was nothing for my husband to hold onto in order to stand up and get out. The breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of hot meals cooked fresh to order. Personally I would have liked more choice of fruit but the fresh fruit on offer was adequate. The free glass of wine in the piano bar on the first night was a nice touch and we were delighted to be entertained on the piano all three nights by Annie, singing and playing (she has a beautiful voice), and Alan with his stunning playing of Jazz and Blues etc. The staff were most helpful. Thank you Chatsworth Hotel for a very enjoyable stay."

"Very nice and tidy lodge with enough space for my family (5 persons).Beautiful outdoor areas with lots of plants and flowers Two wonderful possibilities to have your meals outdoors.Railway station and lidl discount retailer approx. 10 minutes away.A trip to London by railway lasts 1 hour 25 minutes.Rye 55 minutes by car, Brighton 40, Hastings 35, Eastbourne 25."

"Hallo, also die Wohnung beziehungsweise das Apartment war wirklich sehr gut gelegen. Ein Parkplatz ist vorhanden. Das Gelände ist komplett abgeschottet. Man hat Schlüssel um herein zu kommen. Die Wohnung befindet sich im ersten Stock. Dennoch gibt es einen Aufzug, den man benutzen kann. Die Wohnung verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmern ein Essbereich, der allerdings mit Teppich verlegt ist d.h. man muss mit Kindern schon recht aufpassen, dass nichts daneben geht. Ansonsten Küche zwei Badezimmer alles was man braucht ist in der Wohnung vorhanden."
