"Main reason for choosing this hotel is for spa and gym facilities as I do not like missing gym sessions when I’m away. Hotel location easy to find. The building looks okay, decor is very dated, communal areas are clean apart from sauna area but expected… Gym facilities could be better organised but equipments are excellent. Managed to get amazing workouts which was surprising as hotel usually only have basic stuff but not in this case. Breakfast was adequate and seemed fresh, same each day. Main con for this hotel is the room and the lift. The floor was lopsided and made me and my partner feel giddy every time we walk around the bed, and the lift my gosh was very very slow and tiny. Sign says 8people, well like a sardine with 4. Massive pros, staff are lovely and always smiling and very accommodating and helpful. Gym although not very clean and disorganised we have had amazing sessions due to excellent equipments. Will I recommend and come back again? —absolutely!!! Mainly for staff, gym and spa. Enjoyed our stay for these reasons. "

"Overall, great location. The staff was super helpful! The rooms were neat and tidy! Air conditioning I couldn't figure out if it was there or not! But overall a great place to stay by the sea!"

"We had the most incredible mini break here straight after our wedding, and it was just perfect. We splashed out a bit and were expecting something lovely, but it completly blew our socks off! Driving up a perfectly manicured driveway, to be greeted by a lighthouse ruin, three gorgeous gardens and the cliff falling away to the sea was heaven, the best place to bunker down and recharge. The gardens were huge, and we really enjoyed our evening loops with the dog without even leaving the property. When you do venture out, there's miles of walking straight from the door (although it's mainly on lead for the dog this time of year, so bring a long line) and Deal is a short drive away for a nice mooch and lunch. Would absolutely recommend."

"Spent a fabulous week at Pines Cottage. The property is fantastic, really comfortable and well equipped. The gardens that you get access to are glorious. St Margaret's Bay is a lovely area with lots of great places to visit nearby. We had a great time here and wouldn't hesitate to return."

"This is a great flat and really good value. Good sized rooms, all comfortably furnished and well equipped (though a teapot would be appreciated). Warm and cosy, despite no instructions for working the heating. Local area is interesting with Dover, Walmer and the White Cliffs nearby. Easy parking in free car park next to church opposite. Highly recommend local pub The Smugglers as well as The Pines tearoom and Coastguard pub down at St Margaret’s Bay."

"Comfortable, relaxing, fun to be on the site for children. Close to Dover white cliffs, Dover Castle, and walking trails.Would do this again for a few days more!!!"
