Dolphins Leap, St Margaret's at Cliffe

Dolphins Leap, St Margaret's at Cliffe

10/10 Excellent
"We had the most wonderful stay at Dolphins Leap, a truly relaxing break. The house is luxuriously furnished, with the comfiest of beds and seating. It has a really well-equipped kitchen and multiple dining areas both inside and out. The grounds are just amazing! Lots of space and plenty of nooks - so whether you want to sit in the sun with a good book, or find a more sheltered or shady spot, there was somewhere for everyone. We enjoyed the outdoor areas very much, and spent most of our stay in the gardens, with evenings in the hot tub. Be aware that the track leading to the house is quite rough, and wouldn’t be suitable for vehicles with low ground clearance. We also found that there was a bit of a smell coming from the downstairs en-suite, in the shower area. Neither of these would stop us returning, though. Overall, one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed at."

Sea Purse, St Margaret's Bay by Keepers Cottages

10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful house with great views! Wonderful kitchen and balcony. Only minor inconvenience was with the bathrooms- the hot water in one stopped when the other was being used/ lack of shelves in the shower stall- had to bend down to pick up stuff from the floor. Regardless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend."

Pip's Lookout, St Margaret's Bay

10/10 Excellent
"We had a truly magical stay at Pip’s Lookout! The accommodation was fantastic, with a lovely, well-equipped kitchen and everything you could possibly need. The spacious living room opened onto a balcony with stunning views over the sea, while the incredibly comfortable bedroom offered an amazing 180-degree view of the English Channel. We spent hours watching the ships go by and trying to identify them — such a lovely way to spend time! Debby was a wonderful host — incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming. She had so many great suggestions for places to visit and eat, which really helped us make the most of our stay. We enjoyed some fantastic food at a local bistro, as well as at the Coastguard pub, both of which we would highly recommend. We also loved walking to the local golf club, where we had another delicious meal. Exploring Deal was a real highlight too, especially the Deal Pier Kitchen, which we absolutely loved. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, made even more special by Debby’s wonderful hospitality. Pip’s Lookout is a truly lovely place, and we enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked to come back next year! We can’t wait!"

"The cottage is in an ideal location, with fantastic views out over the sea and over to France, and you can go for walks from the front door without needing the car. The Smugglers Inn and village shop are within walking distance and both are excellent for food and supplies. You can also walk down to St Margaret’s Bay to the beach and the Coastguard pub for food, also excellent. We had a lovely holiday and I would recommend this as a place to stay."

"We love staying at The Cottage! It is a home away from home that feels comfortable from the moment you walk in. We have stayed several times and have never been disappointed. On this recent trip, we parked our car, unloaded our bags and didn't get in the car again until we left. We walked everywhere, ate at the cafe/tea room and at the Coastguard Pub as well as bought simple food for easy meals at home in the village shop. We stayed in a different bedroom than we normally use, because it had a TV for some late night comedy or news as we readied for bed. The wood burner in the lounge kept things cozy and warm. We always wish we could stay longer when we stay at The Cottage. Henry, the host, is always so friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go again and are very grateful to be able to spend time in this lovely home!"
