"The cottage was located in a beautiful area. I did not like after booking it and paying in full that the owner demanded more money.
Thankfully some locals helped us out."
"Just a lovely spot, 5 minutes driving from town and the shore in Newcastle, 15 or so to some great hiking trails. Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to go back. Seems to be a holiday spot for the Irish and those from the UK, not...
"Lovely setting and beautiful gardens. Cleanliness of our room a notch below our standards ie carpet in our room not vacuumed, long hairs on the bedding. "
"Lovely apartment. We had a really nice few days here. No allocated parking, but we never had a problem finding a space close by. Good to have a shop so close (literally under our feet.)
Facilities were good; enough kitchen utensils, pans, etc. that we could cook meals with no problems. Nice bathroom and excellent lounge area. Seating area and space outside as well if the weather permits.
Nice area to walk around as well, with harbour and coast very close by.
The location is a bit off the beaten...
"Was not sure what to expect as last minute decision to stay but we were very happy with the tucked away room we got. Lovely fit out / safe etc pub food was really appreciated as well. Would stay at again."
"A truly wonderful find! Quiet, convenient, clean well appointed cottage, with attentive, friendly hosts. Good parking, near enough (by car) to the Mourne Mountains, Murlough, Tyrella and Ballykinler beaches and Newcastle. About a 45 min drive from Belfast. A great haven for peaceful outdoor pursuits or just getting away from it all. Will happily stay again! "

"Second time at this hotel based on price and location. Suited our needs and the breakfast was really good. Room comfortable although no AC available. "
"Loved this property, very clear instructions for checking in, room was massive clean had everything we needed. Only problem for us was without a car it’s a little bit out of the way and in terms of food delivery early morning late night was not the best or waiting times were long, but this is not the properties fault. "
"We were so impressed by this hotel. Fabulous room, very comfortable and spacious. The pool was great but mostly it was the welcoming and accommodating staff who made our visit so special. They were so helpful. We got room service instead of eating in the restaurant and it was fabulous. The Operations Manager who was on firing the evening of our visit made it such an easy process and the food was delicious. "
"An amazing hotel. Offering what no other can. Quaint, luxurious, quiet, friendly with a vibe all of its own. Wonderful staff and exceptionally clean. A wonderful jewel in Belfast crown. Cannot rate it highly enough. "
"Very good service, clean & comfortable hotel with a lovely Bistro Bar attached. I don’t visit Ards very often but would stay here again the next time I did"
